My approach

I am a Melbourne-based psychotherapist, with 7 years and 4000 hours of clinical experience. Rooted in the Psychodynamic framework, I invite you to explore your whole and complex self in a safe and accepting therapeutic relationship. Believing my clients to be the experts on their own lives, I aim to facilitate your journey towards your goals, priorities, and desired vision of life.

I work to create a safe and accepting environment to ease the sharing of vulnerable material. In sessions, I integrate talk therapy with behavioural techniques, mindfulness and breath work, and expressive arts techniques. These are evidence-based practices from psychology and neuroscience, and can help you navigate your life with more awareness, authenticity, and agency.

I offer both short-term and long-term support. Short-term work is typically 1-12 sessions, designed to help in crisis management, catharsis, working towards focused goals, or to offer support when time or resources are limited. Long-term work is 4-6 months or longer, and is helpful for exploring attachment, ongoing stressors, and trauma.

Therapeutic Modalities

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

Our past experiences subconsciously shape behaviour, beliefs, emotions, and reactions in the present. By making these influences conscious, psychodynamic therapy gifts us more agency in our present lives. By understanding deeper patterns, it facilitates lasting change.

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

SFBT prioritises solutions to address pressing challenges. By identifying the client’s strengths and resources, it generates action steps well-suited to individual goals and context. This approach is designed for short interventions, typically 8 or less sessions.

  • Internal Family Systems Therapy

IFS is a powerful and evidence-based framework that helps clients identify and regulate different parts of themselves. In the process, it helps connect clients with their compassionate, curious, and courageous Self.

  • Mindfulness-Based Therapies

Our breath and body can anchor us in the storms that rage within or around us. Using evidence-based techniques from neuroscience and psychology, integrating mindfulness can help improve self-regulation and clarity of thought.
